Wishing you all an amazing week. It is Monday which means a fresh new day and a new week. I had such an eventful weekend visiting family in New York City. I love visiting the city. There is just so much going on, so much to do. As most of you know, NYFW is upon us and as much as I would have loved to go to the shows, I decided to take some time off and just hang out with my girls instead. NYFW can be stressful for me. Most of the time, you are invited to the shows 24-48 hours prior to the date and you have to RSVP right away. Its hard for me to find a sitter sometimes on such short notice. And some of the events and shows are during the week, which also poses difficulties for me being that I work full-time.

Although I did not make the shows, I still got dressed up and had a full weekend. I wanted to show you guys this look because I especially love this crop sweater. My favorite part about it was definitely the color. This blue is so beautiful and it gave me such spring vibes. Being that it is a crop top, I wore a skater dress underneath. The benefit about cold months is being able to layer. Layering makes fashion so much fun! It can completely transition a piece of clothing. I matched this look with a pair of laced up pointed booties and a black clutch. This look is great for a daytime event. What’s fun about this look is the easy transition into the night; take off the crop sweater and maybe throw on a leather jacket and you are ready to do.
