#WelcomeBabyRosario - My Baby Shower Recap

My Beauties!

Hope you all had a great weekend and an awesome Mother's Day. This weekend was very eventful for me. We had the shower on Saturday and of course Mother's Day on Sunday.

I opted out of doing the traditional Latina Party Bash for a baby shower. Instead, I did a more subtle "baby sprinkle" with just a bunch of women eating food and playing games. And I loved it!! It was not nearly as stressful as a big bash and the outcome was just as great. Since I was doing all the running around on my own, I could not bare the thought of a full blown bash. And I was trying to keep everything under a certain budget; although we exceeded the budget, it still was not as expensive as a bash would have been.

The brunch took place at Michael's On The Grove in Bethel, CT. It was a beautiful location. It consisted of a buffet style meal with the choices of muffins, croissants, salad, chicken parmesan, unlimited mimosas, orange and cranberry juice. For dessert I got a vanilla cake with strawberry and white chocolate mousse filing, which was absolutely delicious. They also served tea and coffee for all my guest.

We played about 5 games: Who Knows Daddy Best, How Big is My Belly, Don't Say Baby and Whats in your Purse. I made little trophies for the winners. It was a fun way for everyone to get to know each other. The trophy idea I got from Pinterest along with the idea for centerpieces.

Below are pictures of the event for your viewing. Hope you all enjoyed the shower just as much as I did!

I will like to thank everyone who came out to support our growing family. My husband and I are truly blessed with amount of support we get from our families and friends. With women only there was more than 50 guests. That's awesome! It truly was a great turn out and we got lots of gifts.

I wanted to give a quick shout out to my wonderful group of helpers; my friends Nelly, Taisha, Cristal and Jenny, who helped me that day bring it all to life. The cake was from Kelly at Sweet Rewards in Brookfield, CT. The cake table was decorated by Dream Décor by Diana Castro, who also did amazing! The favors were done by my dear friend Jenny from LadyBugBodyBoutique and the beautiful flower frame was put together by the talented Disa.

My dress was from SewTrendyAccessories. My hair was done by the hair doctor herself, Melinda and, lastly, makeup was done by the talented Leile Jade.
