The Perfect Book Guide For Hibernating Season That Will Have You Wish for Snow Days
In honor of today's snow day, I thought it would be plausible to give you all this awesome list of books to read during this cold season. Winter usually brings out the hibernation in people. No one wants to be outside in the cold, and why should you have to?
I remember I hated to read. My dad use to try and force me when I was growing up. My mother even offered to give me $10 for each book I completed. And still I would NOT pick up a book. I think it was because my father forced it out of me. If you know me, you know I hate being told what to do and the fact that he would make me do it, made me not want to.
Now, I would give for that offer to be brought back to the table. I love reading and I mean a good hardcover copy, not a digital one I can download on my kindle or IPhone. There is something about having a hard copy that brings me fulfillment. I like to go to the bookstore and get lost in all the different books available. I have always dreamed of being an author one day and publishing a book of my own.
With my little ones though, it is not always easy to find the time to read. My 9-5 and afternoon activities make it almost impossible. Although I still do it, it often takes me longer than usual to finish a book.
