Tips for Always Being a Stylish Mom
Because we are moms, and it is in our nature to juggle a million things at once, it can make it difficult to always look your best. When I first became a mother, I saw my style levels just go down the drain. For a moment, I stopped buying clothes and caring what I wore out. I was just too tired.
As I became a seasoned motherhood pro, I have found easy ways to level up your everyday look. It is not as difficult as we tend to make it and it is totally doable regardless of how many children you have and how hectic your schedule may be.
Always focus on pieces that fit well and flatter your features. Focus on the favorite aspect of your body and play with that. Get rid of baggy pants and t-shirts. Always remember, for a put together look, focus on fit.
Here are some quick and easy tips for maintaining your stylish side:
Timeless Pieces
Fill up your closet with timeless pieces: a crisp white button up, a white tee, denim jeans, etc.. Get pieces that rarely go out of style and can be wore all season long. Also, make sure that these pieces are flattering to your body. Remember, not every item is for every body type. So get those jeans that hug your butt the right way that you can wear over and over again and still feel great.
Accessorize
Add an accessory. Accessories go a long way. It can help bring a boring look to life. Even you basic white tee with jeans can make you look like a million bucks with the right pair of shoes. So be sure to add scarfs, bags, hats, jewelry and shoes to your wardrobe to an added umps to any look.
Colors
Keep your color palette to a limit. It will be easier to style pieces when the color coincides with one another. It will also keep you from having to run to the mall to find something that matches. No matter what pieces you pull out of the closet, it will all look good styled either way.
Plan Ahead
Like almost everything in life, planning your outfits the night before also helps. Try it on to see how it looks on you altogether before committing to the look. Try everything on, the shoes, the outfits and whatever accessorizes you plan to wear with it. Make sure everything is touched up nice, ironed and polished. Set it aside so that all you have to do is grab and go… and then get your kids ready.
