How to Style in Basic Jeans and a T-shirt

A basic tee and jeans are always so easy to style. It has become my go-to for sure when I am unsure of what to wear. It is simple yet easy to style up if needed.

When shopping for jeans, I look for a pair that is comfortable, affordable and that makes my butt look good. I shop different style jeans: skinny, mom jeans, boyfriend jeans, you name it. As of recently, I will have to admit that my favorite go-to jean style is a pair of high-waisted mom jeans. However, whichever your style choice, it will still look good with a basic tee for sure.

If I am wearing a basic tee and jeans, you can be sure that my hair and makeup will be on point. Since this look is so simple, it is important to be sure to have a full glam in order to make it all come together nicely. Maybe add some lashes. I don’t wear lashes often, so I am sure that when I do, it will surely enhance my look.

To style your basic tee and jeans, make sure you get a fitted tee. I have gotten away with buying a child size large tee as opposed to women’s size small because I feel like it hugs me best and it’s a little more on the crop side so that I don’t have to bother tucking it in. I am also sure to wear a nude bra underneath because sometimes a white tee can be a little on the see-through side.

I am sure to pair this look with heels and/or some sort of statement shoe. Snake print boots are trending right now, I am most likely to wear these style boots to bring out the look a little. If you don’t own a pair of statement shoes, you can always just pair it with pumps or sandal heels.

I usually tend to roll up my jeans and add a small cuff at the end in efforts to add a little dimension to the pants.  Another small trick is to add a knot to the tee, whether in the front of in the back; it will also add a little more style to the look.

Furthermore, adding an outwear piece, like a jacket or blazer, will also bring your look to the next level. I have been loving blazers lately so I will most like add a blazer. However, a denim or leather jacket will work just as well.

Lastly, be sure to accessorize! Add a pair of sunglasses or a choker necklace. I am not a huge necklace person so I will most likely add some sunglasses and maybe a pair of stud earrings. Either way will work just fine.
